I bought my fit on a Saturday and drove from Sacramento-LosAngeles the next day (talk about breaking it in)... I didn't have any problems cruising at 75-80 in "D" mode on I-5. The lights on my speedometer were in that middle blue-green most of the time I'm on cruise control which I assume is good mpg.

65 is normal on the freeway, and it got slower than that at some point during that trip... Depends on location I guess.

My first tank of gas I used 8.5 gal to go 298 miles=35.0 MPG. On my next tank, with less hwy miles, with ECON ON I used 8.2 gal to go 310 miles= 37.8 MPG. I guess the ECON button works.

I just found this old thread and wow I like all your stats and everything. Looks like a NASA engineer or something more complicated than just save fuel. Cool indeed.

Thanks for the info.
