2016 EX touchscreen radio is sloooowwww
I have been using a USB drive for music and some of the folders are really large(20+ songs). Today, driving to work, the radio appeared to lock-up. It was actually taking about 60-90 seconds for any touch to be registered and then another 60-90 seconds for an action to start. Example: press and hold power button. It took 3 minutes for the radio to display "Audio Power Off" and actually turn off. I turned the car off, turned it back on and it is STILL running like a palm pilot stuck in a loop. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks

I've not experienced that particular failure, but I have had a couple of flaky episodes with my radio.
Once, it appeared to boot incompletely. It ran, but would not change stations or functions, nor access any of my presets. After tuning off the car and restarting it the radio was fine.
Just last night, my after turning right, the lane watch camera shut off, as did the entire radio for about 5 seconds.
In both cases, I couldn't replicate the problem so I can't report it to Honda.
In your case, as it's still doing it, I'd advise you to video the radio in operation (in case it "clears up") and show it to your dealer. It's definitely NOT normal, and a warranty issue.

I pulled the USB drive and put it in FM mode and left it that way on the way to work. After the work day it responded correctly when powered back up. I'm using the USB media now and have no experienced it again. It's probably a memory leak in the firmware dealing with large MP3 folders. If it does it again, I'm taking vid and will try to correct again.
