2015 Honda Fit LX "aka Fitty"

Hello everyone,

I thought that it would be good time to introduce me and my vehicle to the board. My name is Jimmy Lee. I am located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I work as a Sales Consultant at Sherwood Honda. I recently traded in my 2009 MINI Cooper S for a 2015 Honda Fit LX in Aegean Blue with a manual transmission. My wife and I like naming our vehicles and she has dubbed him "Fitty". It is my first brand new vehicle and I am loving every minute of it so far!

I have been a member of several other automotive related boards in the past but have never been an "active" member. I would consider myself more of a casual observer rather than anything else. My change of heart stems from the fact that I have never been an early adopter of a motor vehicle before and I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to share my experiences with the community as I personalize/modify it.

Here are some pictures of Fitty in the detail bay (I apologize for the size of the pictures):

Thought I'd take some pictures of underside of it while it was on the hoist getting some winter tires mounted on. I found it pretty neat to see how Honda designed the under side of the vehicle. I never thought that they would put much thought on reducing drag on a economy car.

Factory options:
  • Rain Visors
  • All Weather Mats
  • Rear Cargo Tray
  • Rear Cargo Cover
  • Interior Illumination
  • Drone-equipped Remote Starter

Reasons why I chose an LX:
  • No sunroof
  • No LaneWatch
  • Will be upgrading wheels so didn't need the 16" alloys in EX

The modifications will come slowly since this is my daily commuter and maintaining drivability is paramount. That and I also have a couple of other project cars that require my love, attention, and $$$!

Immediate plans are to locate some 15" wheels for him before the snow melts. I have been looking online but haven't found a set that I really like yet. Will most likely be 6.5-7.0" wide. Also, about to order a Bisimoto short shifter kit since I don't like how long the throws are with this transmission in comparison to my MINI. I'd like to preserve my comprehensive warranty for as long as possible so nothing too drastic will happen in the short term. However, I am planning to take advantage of the recently completed road course section at our local race track, Castrol Speedway, and attending as many open-lapping days as possible this year so things might change!

I look forward to meeting and conversating with everyone in the future.

Cheers,
Jimmy

I'll have to dig up some pictures for you. She's been parked for quite some time.

Bought this Mugen shift knob when I had my Acura TSX. Didn't get rid of it since I knew that I would get back into another Honda at some point. I think it looks pretty good even with the silver shift boot collar on the bottom. What do you guys think?

Didn't realize that it's been over a year since I posted something. Still at Sherwood Honda, moved into our own home, and have another baby in the way! Crazy how life catches up to you. Fitty looks a bit different now. Lowered on some Swift springs that my wife got me for Christmas present. Also picked up some Mugen MF10s over the winter from a local seller. Here's a picture of Fitty I took today. Hope everyone is well.

Yeah, congrats on the house and baby.

Spring is FINALLY here!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. Thought I would put up a new post since it's been almost a year since my last one. (Ya, fatherhood, marriage, and business take up most of my time nowadays). Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute a bit more soon.
