Whats in a Pro Package?
If pro package is the same as what i got with mine, its basically black door edge gaurds.

There's another package called edge gaurds but those are color matched with the body color.

BTW, thanks for the heads up. I e-mailed them authorizing a phone deposit if the vehicle is available, but not over MSRP.
Let me know what they tell you. I called either yesterday or the day before (I forget which now), and they said they had zero 2009 Fits. They weren't there yet. I assumed they were listing the VINs that were being delivered at a later date.

Got my Black Sport at MSRP + Carpeted floor mats + TT&L OTD $19,071.00 I also got the extended warranty since I plan on this being my sons car in 8 yrs when he turns 16 but I did not think most of you would be interested in that for the OTD price. But fyi the extended warranty of 8 yrs 100,000.00 miles ran $1485.00
Got this at Brad Barker Honda in Bloomington, Il salesman John Hoffman. Have bought a couple of cars from him and he has always been honest and fair with me.

Of interest. All dealerships are able to set their own prices but Honda America frowns on Market adjustments. If they receive a few complaints apparently the wil ask the dealership to stop this practice. If they do not stop Honda will make it very difficult for these dealers to get inventory. So if you are looking for something specific or ordering from one of these dealers it may take longer to get your car.

19-20k OTD??? Either you guys are getting taken to the cleaners or the new fit is a rip off.

We are talking about a honda fit here correct?

Illinois state and city taxes are over $1100 and that based on 1.5% less tax rate than my home town. When the registration goes through the DMV my home city (if they get notified) will hit me up for the other 1.5 % of city tax.

What do you mean? Honda does not like when dealers sell above MSRP?

Why would looking for something specific or ordering from one of the dealers take longer? Thanks

Selling over MSRP sort of gives Honda a bad image and upsets a lot of customers who would like to buy the product. Honda does not control the actual sale price a dealer will sell for. However they do make recommendations if they see business practices that may be harmful to the Honda corporate image. Say a dealer is recieving 8 fits a month and are selling them (in Texas someone posted) at $4,000.00 over MSRP. Honda will ask them to stop this practice of price gouging. If they do not stop Honda will maybe only send the dealer 3 cars a month and ship the other 5 as bonus cars to dealers who have a better relationship with Honda corporate and selling for MSRP.

guys, msrp is the same EVERYWHERE. only clarifying because someone asked what msrp would be in cali, its the same as it would be in ny,nc and anything on the east coast.

the little add ons are just a way to get you to pay more. but msrp is the same. finding someone to sell it to you for msrp is a different story.

These guys are jokers. The Auto/Nav silver fit is yet to be delivered, nor are the other three black ones they have listed.

The salesman said one of the black ones was being unloaded as we spoke, and that the silver one is sold as is their next nav car coming in November.

I wished them well, in so many words. My car is less than two weeks out (at a small discount, no less). I'm sticking with the sure thing.

So you paid $500 over MSRP? Who is the dealer?

Anyone seen an 09 anywhere in New England?

The dealer is Boch Honda. I was in the process of getting one from Herb Chambers but I would be getting it late September/early October. I don't think I've seen any 09's in New England but I have been seeing for 08's.

Model: 2009 Honda Fit Orange Revolution Sport A/T
OTD: MSRP $16,910 + Destination Charge $670 + Doc Fee $88 + Tax, License, and Registration $694
Total OTD: $18,362
State: Oklahoma
Date of Arrival: 9/20 - 9/26

I already paid $500 down for the order so when I walk in I will owe them $17,862. I didn't feel good about paying MSRP but when it comes down to it, I have to be happy compared with most of the "market adjustments" im hearing about.

I posted a few days ago my OTD but these figures are final. It is just a few dollars off what I originally posted.

I just got back from the dealer. They have a Silver 09 Sport MT for $16730 (MSRP) + $1420 in taxes and $57.50 in I'm assuming a Doc fee. They wanted $387 for the bumper app., door sill trim, and all season mats. Also $1200 for a 6 year/100k bumper to bumper. They also said they maybe able to get the black in in a few days. Is anyone getting an extended warrenty on these? I'm thinking no seeing the advances in cars in the last 3 years. Where will we be in 3 more? 50-60 mpg's?
