Yes I spoke to Tanabe USA last week and they are going to be making the Medallion Touring muffler for the Fit within the next month or so but it will only be an axle back not a full catback.

sounds good from what I can hear. You need a few fly by and in car highway vids so we can get a true understanding of how it sounds.

Thumbs up

We are currently finalizing production of our exhaust systems such as the Medalion Touring for the Honda Fit.

Since the US rear bumpers are longer, the Japanese spec exhaust system will not fit correctly, and will wind up melting and discoloring the bumper.

i was wondering if tanabe can jus make a adapter that will extend the muffler to stick out longer so it will fix the problem from burning or melting.

Header, singular, meaning just one, not headers, which means more then one.

Do you have the sport package Fit? If you do a search, some one installed a SPOON exh on ther NA Fit(non sport model) and it worked fine.

Unfortunately, an adapter is simply a temporary fix that can lead to larger problems down the road. Many other companies may just make adapters, but we will be making a completely new system.

If you put an extension adapter on the exhaust, it will put the exhaust system welds and hangars under abnormal stress from being pushed outwards, which can be exacerbated when they heat up, especially if the muffler is bottomed out.

Poor fitment is often the cause of broken welds, and broken welds are not things that are associated with Tanabe products

When we tested on the Sport Package Fit for the Medalion Touring, the system sat far too back, which would melt the bumper.
