This is a general car question,

do you have any special product to clean the inside or outside of your auto windshield?

 

I have had the best results with Windex drip-free auto window cleaner. NOT regular Windex, but the kind for car windows. There are many various opinions on this subject, and there's mine.

 

inside i use armoral wipes and or windex... outside i keep a coat of rain-x on and it keeps it pretty clear

 

i have been using Stoner Invisible Glass, which works wells. i also had a free sample of rain-x wipes, i used it on the interior and it worked pretty well also.

 

Are all of you with tints NOT using Windex, but just soap and water? So far I really just use water for the inside tints.

 

I used RainX once and it made my windshield greasy. No one else has had that problem?

i lubricate the window with glass cleaner, then i scrub it with steel wool. ONLY DO THIS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE WINDOW!!!

I've used the steel wool with Stoner on older cars. Are you happy with the steel wool on the Fit? I scratched the windshield on my TL with gas station paper towels. By the way--make sure you know about grades of steel wool before you try this.

+1 for Stoners Invisible Glass works great on tint and the windshield too. I started using it when both my wife and I smoked and it was the only thing I found that got the tar off the inside of the windows.

 

Nothing has worked better for me than Glass Scrub and a white Scotchbrite pad. It removes old Rain-X and anything else. Just make sure you only use it on a wet window.

 

I just use distilled water white vinegar and a squeegee. Works on the car and the house!

 

I have a can of Eagle One window cleaner spray that I use with blue shop towels. Works well enough. Or I use a clean white terry cloth towel. The terry cloth and cleaner seem to do an excellent job.

 

Armor All glass cleaner, applied with old newspapers. Apparently the newspaper is abrasive enough to have a polishing effect. It's worked well for me so far, inside and out It's also good for removing adhesive from old stickers.

One just has to be careful with the drying and diligent with the wiping. Excess amounts of Armor All glass cleaner that aren't wiped off properly leave a slightly hazy residue.

 

I use Windex inside on the tint, too.

 

for windows i use Prima Clarity or Griot's WindowCleaner which ever
i have in stock at the time.

for SUPER OILY CRAPPOLA windows on the outside, i first use RainX to
dissolve the crap on the glass (mostly oils and grime) followed by
a mist of distilled water and dry glass MF towel to remove.

use dedicated glass MF towels, not paper towels.
