ur wheels are fairly new, very easy to paint. those ls wheels, its better to be safe than sorry. also this method works period on any wheel. ur method altho great doesnt really work on super old wheels with more than just dirt and a few scratches. not trying to say ur method was bad or anything but solbrothers has a point about prepwork.

aircraft stripper is great for old wheels wit tons of crap thats like edged into the stuff.
