08FitSport (Tom) and MiniFit (Brad) were very helpful throughout the whole mod & run process. 08FitSport and I actually have a very similar setup...the only differences are, he has:
- JDM Password intake (I really like the low-end torque it gives)
- Gram Lites 16s
- Federal 595 (he & I were neck-n-neck when he had these...he changed out to something else & they didn't serve him well this last event...he's changed back to Federals so gotta watch out! )
- T1R Dampers/Springs
- Different axle-back
- No rear lower strut
- Everything else is the same--Tanable front upper & lower strut, Progress RSB
I benefit from Tom's past muscle car & motocross experience. And Brad has been autocrossing for years & drove his Fit for a bit along w/ his normal MiniCooperS. He's our OB1-Kenobi. haha.

I just dont see enough power gains to justify buying anything else

I like it. Good low-end torque for a reasonable price. I was originally gonna try T1R B-Max Carbon Chamber intake but it was more money than I wanted to spend @ the time. The JDM Password w/ battery relocator is even more expensive, but like I said...it has some nice pull.
I'll bet the muffler delete sounds mean. Plus, loosing some weight too.

I immediately liked the better low-end and mid-range torqe difference. From what I understand, it's due to the 4-2-1 piping. I like it & it's reasonably priced.

Yeah, front-end feels more responsive to your steering input. The T1R one looks like it should be identical to the Tanabe one--just a different color.

Also how bad is it on the street with those wicked Spring Rates... I'm using Tanabe GF-210's right now.. but I want to swtich in summer to the Coilovers...

I really like them. Excellent construction. Only 12 adjustible settings--easier to set/match settings & can notice the differences between settings. There was a definate improvement in the handling & feel on the courses.
There's about a 1 finger gap in the fronts and a ~1 1/2 finger gap for the rears. I wanted a frontward rake to allow the front to better accelerate, brake, and turn. Plus, w/ some gap in the back I can haul stuff w/o bottoming out on bumps.
I got the dampers set to 7 front & 10 rear. So far, I like this setting best for the track. I even left it @ this setting for my daily driving. To me, it's similar to stock--not too bouncy or too jarring on medium bumpy roads. But on larger & speed bumps...you feel 'em.
I was waffling between EnduraTechs and ProCs only cuz the ETs were supposed to be great as a DD, but don't think the ETs were meant for the auto-xing I was gonna be doing.

I believe due to the amount of the front drop plus the camber bolts allowed for this setting. Yes, it's my daily driver.

Yeah, definately!

TRUST ME!! on this one.. try 42 and then work up or down according to how much sliding (slip angle) you feel... Up for more slip and down for less.. Also the roll can help you feel that. But now with those coilovers I can see that being a issue feeling much roll.

Sounds good! Thanks! I'll give it a try.

Let me know how this works for you, your R&D can feed back to better lap times for both of us... And I will return the favor.. when I get a weekend off with a racing in the middle
|
We got run-offs this Sunday. Hopefully, I'll be able to get serious about this next season.
