I've seen some pretty horrific cars around here in So Cal. EK's with Autozone/Pepboy rear spoilers and projector housings and "Euro" style tails that would make any respectable Honda owner cry.
I hardly ever see Asians do this though.
So instead of calling these cars Rice let's call them Beans.

1. You're right, it's not the 90's. But there are still some asians driving around by me with cars that look like they just came out of the 1st FnF movie.
2. Another correct observation! However, the term "Rice" has nothing to do with the ethnicity of the drivers but the country of origin. Honda's come from Japan...who cares where the drivers are from
Rice-Burners and Bean-Bakers are 2 different schools of mod (or at least that's how most of us classify it where I am)
Ricers: Neon sky blue/pink chameleon paint job with an R34 style body kit, carbon fiber reverse-cowl hood and underglows on a 1994 automatic 4-cl Accord. Altezza lights
Beaners: "Chrome" trim around every open edge on the car (doors, fenders, trunk, windows, etc...), Wheels bought at pep boys or Hubcaps with spinners on them, ugly decal on the back window (usually "Praying hands" or Family name in old english), Stick-on carbon look "vents" on the fenders.
Car is fusted as ruck. Muffler shop "exhaust" that hangs off the car at an odd angle and sounds like it has 14 leaking gaskets. Emits blue smoke from the rear.
Basically, ricers tend to actually put
some thought into the car and spend some actual money on it. Bean-bakers just go to autozone and scoop up everything they can that costs less than $4.99
