in my experience, these "cheap" rotors tend to warp more often than OEM and brembos. it's an awesome deal though!

Okay gd3wagoon 22k and there still like new, no weable, no wobble . I like to refer to them as inexpensive.
They actually do stop quicker than the stockers.

Pads look new, but if you plan on changing out yourself be sure to get a hand held impact with a #3 philips bit to remove the screws!! and a 5 lb. hammer. If you try to just use a regular screw driver the heads may break off ( and Yes ya need them ). What this thing does is "jar" the rusted threads loose and after a couple of good blows they turn out the rest of the way as easy as butter.

I have the 88rotor brand rotors as well as the PBR ultimate pads and i LOVE my brakes! So much better then stock or OEM rotors & EBC pads. The only minor thing about them is that they have to be warmed up before they really start gripping. That means about 4-5 minutes of normal driving, then they really break in.

The 88 rotor ones come with a lifetime warranty for cracks/chips,warps, etc...

I would highly recommend them. James if ur gonna get them come to my house we can install them ahhaha. Don't forget to get 4 new rotor bolts from Honda because you will NOT be able to get them off without damage or drilling them. Trust me I know from experience! They are cheap @ .75 each.

 

It would be interesting to add ceramic pads to my Fit, although little to no braking is the way I cruise my Fit. From what I've read in my car mags though, they perform great. Although they can be very grabby too, which might lead to the opposite of the smooth braking you're use to now.

actually u will get LESS braking force with drilled/slotted vs smooth (same pad)
-simple geometry - larger area = more friction surface and larger mass = higher heat dissipation

also anything "drilled" is for light street/show only as drilled rotors will crack while "connecting the dots"
(those "drilled" rotors on porches etc. have holes that are actually cast not drilled out holes - it's all about grain structure in the metal)

take a closer look at real race cars that actually use their brakes, NO HOLES, not even cast, and anything endurance wont even have any slots either

but then again after taking a closer look at your brembos, i dont think you even care

 

uh, no. heat dissipation depends on SURFACE area, not mass. Why do you think many OEM brakes are ventilated and not one solid chunk of metal?

Actually, slotted AND drilled rotors are better for heat dissipation. Because it allows hot gas to escape from the pads. There's plenty of surface for the rotor to cool off, but not for the pads. If your pads overheat, they fade and there goes your braking friction. They both also clear out any debris or water thats stuck between the pad and rotor.

Let's see... a little less surface area for friction, or faded brake pads that have no friction? hum.

Slotted are considered better than drilled, scratch that part ---> but the reason they're not used in endurance is because it will wear out pads faster. <--- scratch that part.

In reality, drilled and slotted are better performer than stock, but because of the cracking in drilled rotors, and the extra wear in slotted... you're better off with stock. That is, unless you track often AND change pads/rotors often.

i'm sorry sir, i regret to inform you that endurance race cars do have slots on their rotors. Check out the rear brakes from the #59 Brumos Porsche DP car in Grand-Am. It's a Rolex 24 winner

And yes, Performance friction and AP Racing brakes both use slots on their rotors for race/endurance cars.
