Hesitation and EGR Ports

i have a 2008 Honda Fit Sport Automatic...sometimes when i come to a complete stop, and then press on the accelerator gently, i feel a little hesitation!!!
i have been using the same gas from the same gas station ever since i bought it..Chevron 93 Octane.
i read somewhere that Honda's will sometime hesitate if the EGR Ports need cleaning.. i don't know what those are in the first place.
has anyone else had this problem with their Fit's?
a car from 2008 should not have hesitation problems....what else could be causing it besides the EGR Ports?
i go to get my oil changed at the dealership next Tuesday and not sure if i should ask him to check out those EGR Ports or not.

I would just tell the dealer about the hesitation and they should be able to figure it out. I would also stop using 93 octane fuel. The manual recommends 87 for a reason. 93 burns slower and would be appropriate for an engine with higher compression and one that's tuned for high octane fuel. I tried 92 octane for the first time in 80k and notice shortly after filling up that my car doesn't start as quickly or turns over for a longer period before firing. That was enough proof for me that I should stick with 87.

Is your AC running when you feel the hesitation? Because when I have my AC running, I feel a slight hesitation. AC seems to take a lot of power.

yes....i change my air filter and cabin pollen filter every 10,000 miles.
the dealership charges around 75 bucks just to change the air filter in the engine!!!
i never let them change it...i just buy both the filters from the parts department for about $50 bucks for both of them and change them myself...i don't know why people would pay that much, it's soooo easy to replace them
oh, and i did add a bottle of Chevron's Techron Concentrate too..it has since stopped. and i think the Chevron closer to me was the problem. i went there last week and felt a little hesitation..not much.
but then i went to a Shell. and the next time another Chevron station i use to go to that has really good gas. not to mention the pumps are immaculate and very clean so you know they take care of their station whoever owns it.
i heard that Shell gas is really good too...but i really love chevron's gas.
does anyone here have any preference and why?

Why would you pay dealer when both filters are available for no more than half that
