T1R Turbo (Dyno'ed on pg.12) May 1st 2007

Hi Guys,

I finally got some updates on the T1R Turbo kit that we are building. It is at the final stage now. Hopefully, we will get the car dyno tuned next week.

Here are some updated information. We will be making 2 kits and which will be launched during spring time.

(1) T1R Turbo Kit with no interccooler
- BOOST 0.4 bar (6 PSI) kit
- Comes with E-manage (custom program inside)
-Available Spring 2007

(2) T1R Turbo kit with Intercooler
- BOOST 0.4 bar (6 PSI) Kit
-Comes with E-manage (custom program inside)
**requires small size wiper washer fluid bottle**
**For Sports model, OEM fog lamps has to be removed**
-Available late spring 2007

(3) T1R Turbo kit with no intercooler (Emission kit)
- BOOST 0.4 bar (6 PSI) kit
-Comes with E-manage (custom program inside)
** comes with high flow catalytic convertor for emissions**
-Available before summer 2007

Here are some pics of the process going on to our Fit-T

-Turbo intake pipe / Intercooler pipe / BOV (Blow Off Valve) installed.

-Intake portion of the Turbo kit

-the other side of the intercooler pipe

-Other side of the intake

-Intercooler pipe with air tempurature sensor fitted.

-Front mount intercooler installed

-Turbo up pipe

-Turbo down pipe with O2 simulator

The process took much much longer time then we expected because we built new down pipe and after that we have to build a exhaust mold so that we can get them manufacturered.

I will keep you guys updated for the dyno tuning next week.

Thanks
Ben

Thumbs up

Looks F***in' sweet!
So is the exhaust part of the kit or a necessity with the kit?

You should make a dump pipe too! Screw emissions.

Got to say that is one clean kit, but if i may ask for you guys to opt for is mayb a sidemount intercooler kit. Only running 6lbs of psi..really do we need a gaint front mount intercooler? Or mayb the fmic is the only best way of getting continuously cold air running thru it? I just want a super sleeper look without having to spray paint the front mount black. Just my preferences...

Other then that...great job on the turbo kit.

Oh also...any price range u guys throwing out for each kit?

I have only fitted the Turbo kit with no intercooler and this will perfectly bolt up to the AT Fit.

The reason is there's no opening on the bumper so there will be no air blow towards the intercooler if it is placed on the side.

We still haven't priced it yet but the Basic kit with no intercooler without E-manage should be priced around $1600-$2000USD (Not firmed).

Well my engineering internship job search is going quite well, looks like I will either be buying one of the intercooled kits from you and install it here or will be making a nice trip to Vancouver during a long weekend

+1 for the price 1600 is what my turbo and oil feed line cost alone for the STi, but i did make 66WHP for about 400 buck worth of nitrous stuff on the Fit.

Well the Price is attractive. I change my mind on the JR supercharger kit. I always wanted a turbo kit. A little turbo lag won't bother me any. Just need more power for the hills and fun!

There's ways you can run IC pipes on a AT Fit. Who was it that manufactures a CAI that goes into the hole on the inside of the fender? I'm sure there's a way you can run the pipes through there too. But what is keeping me from getting a large intercooler like that is the fog lights. I like my fogs. I'm sure there will be a work around on the IC..

Great job Ben... I can't wait to see numbers and actual price.

Is the exhuast pipes going to be close to single piping with a few joint welds or are they going to be peice welded like on the photos?

Tomi,

The Turbo up pipe has bto be TIG weld piece by piece because those angles cannot be bent by a mandrel bender. The production pipes will be same as the ones you saw in the pics.

We wished the pipes can be bent cuz that will save a lot of time to put it together but unfortunately we have to do it this way.

Yes it is on the way. We tried to run the pipes to go around it but didn't work unless we use smaller pipes but we didn't want to.

The Turbo that we are using is T25 with internal wastegate so there should be not much Turbo lag. We will install the E-manage next week and right after, we will hit the dyno
