Hey Ben when is it coming and how much is the T1R crank pulley going to run?
We are re-doing the prototypes now and we will release the pulley for the Fit, S2000, RSX and Civic Si at the same time. I would say in June.

I am curious...can you tell me what brand of capacitors the T1R V-Power 2 Voltage Staiblizer and V-Power 2 Plus Ignition booster use?
Sorry man, these are secret

this may be a goofy question but would this pose any danger to a mechanic unfamiliar with this thing? Could it be accidentally discharged and hurt someone? (Any significant amperage stored in the capacitors?)

Also, if you wanted to 'turn it off' for any reason, would you simply disconnect the positive side or the negative side?

thanks!

LiL Wee FIT will become famous soon enough
After so many people have ordered these, how many of you notice a gain in fuel efficiency? Also, by how much?

Voltage Stabilizer Question

Hey Everyone,
I just bought the voltage stabilizer and I just thought about something that I am a bit concerned about. Of the people who installed this, did you connect the cables from the car to the battery to an external battery while installing the voltage stablizer? The reason I ask, is because I am concerned about the possible consequences of disconnecting the battery and ruining the presets and/or maintance minders, etc. If anyone has any information I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Erik

LOL dude don't be scared! lol. first off, when u disconnect ur battery u DON'T lose ur maintence minder OR your preset radio stations. How do i know this? i had my battery disconnected for 5 hours once and when i plugged it back in, all i did was type in my radio's code (found on ur glovebox on a lil sticker) and my radio wasn't changed at all. The radio was still on the same station and everything was still the same. Maintenence minder didn't change either cuz it still said i had 50% of life left. Don't trip. Disconnect, reconnect, type in radio code, badabing badaboom.

I drive 360 km every 2 days using 25L to 26L (before) Now that i have installed the voltage booster/stabalizer and grounding kit i am getting much bette mileage, only using 23.5 to 23.6 L per 360 km. this will save me $200+(cdn) per year. paying for itself in just over a year.
Note: I did not change my driving habits at all infact i hit a bit more traffic as i could not take the 407 a few times.

I got my voltage stablizer. I didn't get any instructions with it. In what order do you attach the cables? I know you have to attach - then +. But what about the ground to the car. Does that go on first, after +, or at the end. Please Help!!!

Thanks

The red wire goes to the power (positive terminal) ,the black goes to the negative terminal and the other black goes to any part of the chassis.

I installed all three kits, and btw, very good quality kits...but is it normal that the dorm light dims when you roll up the window all the way up and hold there for a second or two? Just want to make sure I installed the voltage stablizer correctly...but it's very straight forward to install...

Raaaaaaaaaay. is an unknown quantity at this point
Sounds normal to me in ALL cars. Its a lot of power being sucked from the power supply when holding up on the window switch. And when rolling up more than one window at a time.
Ive heard this is bad for fuses. I always roll up one window at a time.

Yeah I screwed around with that in my Protege 5 after I installed a Volt meter...voltage drops 4-6V when you roll up or down all of your windows at the same time...I think the drop for one window is 2-3V...

Both the A/C and fan is not on, I only rolled up one window at a time with the car running...is that normal? I see that both of the LEDs on the voltage stabilizer are on.

As far as I know, the voltage stabilizer only acts as a surge protector, it will clip voltage spikes but it won't fill in with power to cover low voltage situations.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
