Hi all,

Here's a surprise we will be launching the new T1R 4.7 final gear for YOU Fit.



Description :
We realized the VTEC engines are lacked of low rpm torque and acceleration. The easiest and most convenient way to improve this is to replace your final gear ratio. It is very important to have a proper gear ratio to maximize the best performance. However, the performance is frequently not in the first objective when the stock gear ratio is determined. The T1R shorter final gears are made with the clear performance objective and offer aggressive acceleration and faster lap time.

T1R gears are made out of CNC machined Carbonized Chromoly steel with special heat treated process to ensure durability.


Q: What is a final gear ?
A: Final gear is the final reduction gear inside your transmission. Simply it's the final ratio which controls the entire ratio of your transmission gearing.

Q: What does it do ?
A: By replacing the bigger final gear ratio, you will benefit in acceleration. The stock final gear ratio is 4.2 and if you replace it to T1R 4.7 there will be 11-12% difference.

Q: What is the downside of having a bigger final gear ?
A: With a shorter final gear, you will sacrfice the top speed because the shorter ratio shortened the entire gear ratio.

Q: Will this work on AT ?
A: NO ! This will work on Fit 5MT only

The difference between Stock 4.2 and T1R 4.7.
Tire size based on 195/55/15
Redline : 6500rpm

Stock 4.2 Final @ 6500rpm
1st 49km/h (30mph)
2nd 90km/h (56mph)
3rd 80km/h (80mph)
4th 175km/h (109mph)
5th 224km/h (140mph) **I don't think you will ever get here with your stock engine

T1R 4.7 Final @ 6500rpm
1st 45km/h (28mph)
2nd 83km/h (51mph)
3rd 118km/h (73mph)
4th 161km/h (100mph)
5th 207km/h (129mph)

We also made close gear ratios for the Fit as well so more info will be released soon.

The final gear is around $695CAD approx. $640USD retail...... I don't know the labour rate from other shop and countries but we charge about $400CAD to install it.

Yes it will work in any L13A or L15A with 5MT

Actually if you want longer gears which is smaller final gear. We are able to get you the JDM Fit 4.1 final

I have a problem with the quoted stock top speeds for each gear..
I KNOW at about 107 I have somewhere around 1000 RPMs before redline.. there is NO WAY this car is geared to run up to 140 (horsepower permitting, of course)

107 Miles ? Isnt that 170 KM? If it is..With the stock engine you can hit 170 but it takes time..lol
