It has been a few weeks since I installed the Quick Shift and I am still very happy with it. However, when shifting into 5th I get a squeaky rubbing sound from the change level housing. I haven't had a chance to take it apart and look to see what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas about what it could be?
that thing isn't easy to get out with two screw drivers....what's the secret? BEEN STARING AT MINE FOR an hour or so. it just doesn't seem physically possible with 2 screwdrivers. help?!

wow, guess i didn't stare at it for an hour...just felt like it. start to finish was 45 minutes and worth EVERY minute. It's great to have this done to the fit now.

Is the bottom portion of the T1R the exact same dimensions as the stocker? (excluding length, of course) What I am trying to figure out is if I can add the H-Fit extension piece to the T1R shifter.

nope
the diameter of the shaft of the t1r shifter is larger
i am thinking of boring out the hfit extension
it sure is quicker and shorter to the feel, but it kinda sucks that it needs extra strength to shift..
also it doesnt really go back into neutral, what i mean is under 3rd gear and on top of 4th, when i move it into the neutral zone, i have a habit of wiggling the shifter just to make sure im in neutral, but it kinda stays where ever you move it doesnt really go back to the middle does anyone know what i mean?
does anyone have this problem like me?

or does it need to be broken in?
Mine did that for about the first month, but now it centers just fine.
Just wanted to post my impressions of the quick shifter - it's great. Installation was indeed a little bit of a pain, but nothing outrageous. I had good success in removing the "change level ball seat" by putting the assembly on the floor, bracing it down with both feet, pulling up on the shifter with one hand, and using a screwdriver with the other to push in tabs one by one. I used a spray can of white lithium grease on reassembly, and have had no issues with it needing to break in or loosen up. Neutral re-centered itself the way it should the first time I put it in the car.
Anyway, shift quality is now more enjoyable than my old BB6 Prelude . . . which has helped the sting of it's passing fade a little bit more. Now all I need are some coilovers and about 50hp, and I won't miss it at all.

same here. felt a little stiff at first but i think its been atleast 3-4 months since the install and the shifter springs back to neutral like when it was stock.

LOL. We could all use 50hp . but can be achieved with a turbo kit @ about $80+ per 1hp. LOL.
