Thanks for the reply Ben.
As I suspected, we were comparing apples to oranges here.
Your Driver Maxrev was running the KW V3 STREET SYSTEM and then switched to the Tein SRD Coilovers. According to Tein’s site they are “Top-of-the-Line Ready-for-Competition Sports Shock Absorber for serious users”
Street System vs Race System
to Quote Maxrev's site:
"For street application, I would stay with the KWs. If your aiming for time attack on R compounds, its the best sub $3000 suspension system for the track."
His only complaint with the KW's is that they were too soft for his
hardcore racing use, and the street valving of the system ran out of adjustment range for his tastes.
Maxrev also says:
“For those who want more advanced suspension systems, Tein offers the N1 series and also you have the option to purchase Öhlins, JRZ,
KW Race setups”
With the KW Street V3 version for the S2000 retailing at $2150 US, and a fully Customizable (spring rate and valving) complete 2-way Race version retailing for $2900 US, the KW line could have satisfied his needs as well.
I would like to thank you for the indulgence on your forum, and I would invite you to contact us for any of your private label suspension needs, as we work with many Tuners to develop individual programs tailored for the specific needs of their customer base.
