3. Why doesn't the J's racing or ATS final gear fit on the usdm Honda Fit, i'm asking because i was hoping to get a jdm 4.111:1 final gear, but if the jdm aftermarket final gears don't fit then i doubt a jdm stock final would?

Also i noticed that on Carbonetic's website they list a final gear for the Honda Fit which would be the same as ATS's final wouldn't it since Carbonetic is basically a distributor for ATS?
I'll try and get a hold of AJ today and see if they have a pic of the Alex Under Tray. I remember Ben having that on his Fit last year.

The J's Racing Header will fit the USDM Honda Fits.

Not sure why the final gear wouldn't fit, I'll have to try and get a hold of Ben for this one. T1R just released a final gear for the USDM Fit, maybe that's an alternative you can look into

Actually the reason i was wondering is because i want to get a jdm honda 4.111:1 final drive and 3.142:1 first gear that came on jdm honda fit's, but if the aftermarket jdm final drives don't fit then i doubt the jdm honda final would either.

I was trying to get a link for you but it didn't work so you will need to go on NGKスパークプラグ プラグスタジオ -日本特殊陶業- [NGK PLUG STUDIO] find it there.
DENSO has some plugs that work for the fit...

IK20-24, and the Spoon plugs are IK24's from the last time I checked.

They will not work.

For now, only Spoon makes one for the USDM.

I think IK20 is ok but IK24 is too cold for the L15A.

Mugen 5way Coilover

What reason is it for the Mugen 5-way coilovers to not fit on the USDM models? Is it the mounting points or something?
BTW, thanks for all the great info. Sorry to revive an old thread.

the holes on the front struts need to be widened where the pinch bolts go. i have the non-adjustable ones and same deal. King motorsports does it before they ship em. bolted up no problems.

So I don't need to modify my car's front struts if I buy the ones from King Motorsports? Just clarifying.

That I am not sure. I have customers who bought Mugen suspension and most of them have to modify it before you can install.

I just emailed King Motorsports and they said the Mugen 5-way adjustable coilovers require no modification to USDM Fits. They just bolt right in.

"There are no modifications needed for you to install this suspension kit on your USDM Fit."

Like Leonine said, King Motorsports pre-modifies them for you so you will not need to do it yourself to make them fit.

the mugen suspension comes with front struts, rear shocks and springs. King drills out the front struts for you. you just have to bolt them up. Call Scott at King and he will confirm.

Hey Ben,

For the rear bumper to fit what needs to be done? I'd really like to get the rear bumper if it isn't gonna cost me an arm & leg to do it. I've heard that all i gotta do is remove the rebar is that true?

Are the JDM sides the same height as the USDM sides? I've got a base model and i wanna install the JDM sides and possibly a Mugen Style Front Lip but i'd like everything to more or less line up.. any input on that?

Thanks

For the rear bumper, all you have to do is to replace the rebar then the JDM rear bumper will go on with no issues.

JDM Honda side skirts sits a but lower than the USDM Sport's side. The Mugen lip will be lower than the sides so if you can accept that, that go for it.
