T1R B-Max Carbon Intake - Cone Filter Info

Hello Everyone,

So, it's been a little over a year since I bought my T1R B-Max Carbon Intake. I live in Massachusetts. I just wanted to give you an update of what happened to my conical filter.

As you know, the filter doesn't fit exactly right with the stock battery. It kind of rubs against the metal pole that holds the battery down. I had emailed A&J to find out if I could get a replacement one or if this was washable like the K&N filters. They said that they sell the replacement and it is washable.

Not ready to buy a new one, I cleaned it and let it go a little longer.

Recently, I had to replace my HID's. So, I decided to take the filter off. By this time, the metal bar had worn a hole in the filter and ... to my surprise ... the plastic on the end of the filter had broken off and it was wide open.

So, off I went in search of a replacement at the local stores. I couldn't find anything that fit. So, I hit up the internet.

Here is the filter I bought directly from K&N: RF-1005

It fits perfectly and should not rub against the pole.

If you want a titanium version: RF-4610

I have nothing against A&J and I love their products. This is just for those that wish to have a little better quality cone for the T1R B-Max Carbon Intake.

Thanks for reading.
