To whom it may concern, and hoping that u guys r having a nice day. The thing here is that...the engine of my honda fit was completely damaged, and I'm trying to purchase one. If you can help me as much as possible in this case I will be really gratefull 'cause it has been almost a year without my car and well I'm getting really frustrated .
Thanks pretty much for your concern,

Specs of the 2002 engine that I had, L13A IL-4-SOHC

You could be the first to attempt the R18 engine from the current civic. Probably pretty straight forward. I think if I ever did a swap I would do that one, pending the verdict on Hasport's attempt with the K-Series.

Well I'm still curious to knowing if the L Series has the same mounting points as the new R Series... I would do the R Series in tha heartbeat.... Lot of potential there that is still untapped...

Are you looking for a L15A, R18 or a K20 ? I have hook ups from Japan so I might be able to help you.

I thought about that but the car is too new for an engine swap. It might happen sometime next year. The K-swap involve with a lot of work even if there's engine mounts......

I was also thinking to build a Turbo for the Fit instead of SC cuz it will make more power. Anyways, it is too early to say

I preffer drivability than maximum power.

I would be more interested in the R18 swap... I think that there is massive amounts of potential there for that engine and it is lighter than a K Series...

Recent dynos have shown that the r18 makes about 155hp and 135 ft/lbs of torque. That, my friend, would make one hustling fit!!! I'd match that with an 06 si any day. Has anyone else looked at the R18? the exhaust port is not designed for a separate manifold. It appears to have a single outlet going directly into a catalytic converter! Talk about extremes to reduce emmissions!

My thoughts exactly! I'm still dreaming of dropping an R18 into an Insight...

Better yet, Honda should put it in the Insight and just like that we'll have a new CRX Si (with a few modifications of course)...
