The JDM HID housing was ordered from Japan. The only way it will fit a North American Fit is to do the JDM front end conversion (replace the headlights, fenders, hood, rad support, front rebar)

ok so i have a question
in that bodykit thread where it says that jdm kits cant be put on usdm cars
whats different about the fenders and headlights from allowing them to be placed on?
rebars can be modified im not worried about that
are the shape of the jdm headlights different that they need new fenders?
im a body man and will make the kit fit, but im wondering why the front needs fenders, hood, bumper, rad support, rebar, etc

please and thank you
i come from 240s and we dont have these problems other than the rebar

so me it all looks the same in pics, if the headlights are a different shape i can see why u need new fenders and a hood.

Headlights are smaller, hood is smaller, heck everything on the JDM front end is pretty much smaller which is why you need all of the different components. I think someone did a photochop of the front end overlayed and there is a few inch extension on the front end of the USDM one to meet safety standards.

I know this thread is old, but man, Ben, your Fit looks great! That FE conversion is something I'll probably end up doing sometime down the road when I'm sick of the stock NA look, so I'll contact you when I'm ready. Probably do the rear as well while I'm at it.

Thanks again for your support -- looking forward to receiving my first shipment of mods from you tomorrow.

-Mike
