JDM Front end conversion with J's Racing ! (Updated)

Hi all,

Finally got all the parts that I need to do a JDM 1.5S front end conversion along with J's Racing parts.


Parts necessary :
-JDM headlamp
-JDM bumper with grill inserts
-JDM Fenders
-JDM Hood (Pic shown :J's Racing Type-V hood)
-J's Racing Front lip (not necessarily)
-JDM grill (Pic shown: J's Racing grill)
-JDM Radiator support
-JDM rebar
-JDM fender liner
**There maybe some parts not necessary, I will report after the swap is done


JDM HID headlamp assy (Hi-Low kit)
Components needed
-gasket seals & cover
-JDM HID ballast
-D2R HID light bulbs (Pic shown: Raybrig 5000k)
-JDM harness

Car got rear ended so I will have the car down at the bodyshop tomorrow with the front end installed. I will post pics as soon as it is done

Ben, how come the JDM headlights are body coloured too?

Also, that HID kit, will it work with the USDM headlights?

It was a hit and run I parked infront of my garage door and some guy rear ended my Fit and pushed the car forward and hit the garage as well I heard it but I wasn't able to open the garage so I didn't catch him at the spot.

HID is an option for the later models Fit in Japan and for the 1.5S model. All headlamp housing comes painted. The JDM HIDs will not work to USDM headlamp housing.

I think with regular head lights and 1.5S front end, it will be about $2k.

I love the short front and rear overhangs of the JDM Fit so I know its gonna look great once its all put together. Its just hard to justify $2k for purely cosmetic changes, that $2k is more then half way for a turbo kit but nevertheless for anyone who wants to do this will have nice results.

$2k for brand new parts is considerably a lot less when you compare to Integra doing JDM front end conversion. I want both looks AND performance... the total package.

Ben can you PM me the price of the front end? with j's racing style and mugen proessional style? also with the HID head light. And the J's or mugen header and EX direct fit to usdm FIT? (with the cat) thx

GoT DAy@M - somebody is going to get a load of hurt from karma for that hit and run....

About the HID's, be sure to post a beam cutoff against your garage door to show what factory HID is supposed to look like....

If you got time, try and take some "before" profile shots before the car goes in for its transformation. It will be nice to see the same car before/after the conversion for reference.

I am trying to find out what parts are necessary and which is not soif I can get some of the exisiting parts work then you can save money on this conversion. Please give me a week time and I will post a write up about this conversion (what is needed and what is not).

how hard is it to locate the correct color headlights for the fit?

It will be easy for us as long as the colous is available from honda Japan then we are able to get them.
