T1R bars for GE8 09+ Fit ! (Carbon madness)

We just finish fitting and test for the T1R rear strut bar and T1R X-brace. This bracing setup dramatically improves the rigidity of MY09+. It imcreases rear suspension stroke by 5-8mm.

Since all the bars are in DCFRP (Dry carbon) so the total weight addition is about 10 lbs

Installation (REAR Strut bar)- you will need to cut the rear interior panels around the shock tower before it will fitted in properly.

Installation (X-brace) - you must have to have the T1R rear strut bar and C-pillar bar before you can make this to work. This X-brace directly bolt and no modification needed.

GD3 ones are available but you will need to fold down the seats before you can have it properly to work.

The rear strut bar retails at $225CAD approx. $195.65USD.

The X-brace set up will cost $750CAD approx. $650USD.

how easily (or difficult?) will it be to remove the whole setup? cuz it looks like it takes up quite a bit of cargo room. It's great for autocrossing but everyday driving just seems not practical

It took us about 10-15 mins to install the "X" and rear strut bar, the C-pillar bar is always on the car.

After you cut the shock tower panel, you can trim the cover piece and fit it over the strut bar. This is what I will be doing this weekend.

Looks awesome. Too bad you have to fold the GD's rear seats to fit this. Well actually... more like too bad I have to have rear seat passengers occationally.

This was the problem which I had when I used to have my GD. I just installed one cross bar and the seats worked as well as the tourneau cover

the bars look nice, but are they really that effective being bolted to the seat belt tab that drops down from the roof structure?

The main difference is the place where it attaches to the shock tower. It reduces the flex from the bushings and increases stroke to the suspension.

The setup looks great. I'd get it, but there goes my cargo space.

So far, I don't have any issues for picking up groceries but if you have to move big pieces around then that might be an issue
