I like them because I feel the car looks too tall. The side moldings will flatten it out some. It's not lowered yet so that could solve the issue for me, or some rims.

I was so happy to learn that the US model Fit does not have the door mouldings, I spent time & money to get rid of them on my Integra, no way I'm going back to them, lol

shaved > mouldings

It kinda looks like a mini mini-van without the mouldings too.

In my experience the mouldings do very little to stop door dings. The worse doors are the rear doors that go over the wheel well. The put a very high ding in your door way over the moulding. I have mouldings (factory)on my Integra and Odyssey and they both have plenty of dings.

If you have enough dings, have them PDR'd. With all the PDR people popping up all over for business competition, it should be fairly cheap specially if you get group rates (PDR group day).
