I think most of you already know what a throttle controller is and how it works. Now I would like to introduce the NEW D1 Spec Throttle controller for the Fit 07-08 GD3 & Fit 09+ GE8. The version 2.0 is smaller and a lot nicer display.
Introduction
Most of the late model cars have "Drive-By-Wire" system so the amount of throttle is modulated based on the voltage. With this throttle controller, now you can control the pedal to throttle to improve the throttle response at a ideal position. The D1 Spec throttle controller features 3 modes (12 settings) :
1) Normal (standard behaviour)
2) Sports **7 settings**
3) Eco **5 settings**(Economic Mode)
Installation
This device comes with the unit itself along with the adapter harness so this is just "PLUG and PLAY". The entire installation time won't take more than 15 mins
It also comes with English operation manual and a 1 year unlimited mileage Warranty.
Price
This part is at a very economical price of $120CAD approx. $109USD **Before shipping**
Applications 07-08 Fit GD3
09-10 Fit GE8
**Fits all MT and AT models**
**All in stock now**
Any questions, please let us know
Thanks
Ben

what comes with it? Does it connect like the Blitz throttle controller (only connects to the throttle)?? Im just wondering because im sure this question will come up again.
I am not sure how the Blitz works but this model here is extremely simple and functional. Basically, you install this device in between the pedal and the senor plug (plug n play). It comes with the module, sensor plug and harness. Ben will have a pic posted soon.

I just got one of these the other day and it is completely plug and play. Unplug the throttle pedal, plug in the controller. All of about 10 minutes (most spent tucking wires up nicely in the dash)
Anyone have this who can give some feedback on the functionality? There is one for sale in our vendor area that several people say works well, but it's just a tad more expensive (maybe $20-$30). The Blitz, which I've been eying for a while is triple the price of this unit. Any input would be appreciated.
I picked one up last week and installed to my GD and it works really good.
After you install it, you will need to do a quick setup which you just need to follow the instructions.
ECO-mode - Mine is a AT, with this setting, I think this is useless for me because it made my AT even slower in acceleration lol. I think the way it works is to reduce the the percentage of the throttle so it will stay at a certain point to give it too much gas. I don't like to use this mode
Sports mode - I think this is brillant. I set it at SP5 (it starts from 1-7) and the throttle response is quick so basically you touch the throttle and it goes I tried SP7 but it was way too sensitive so I just left it at 5 instead.
I think AJR didn't mention on this post that the throttle controller has the back up cancel function as well. What it does is, when you put in reserve, the controller will be disable for safety purposes.
IMO, for the amount price that I pay, this is something really worth getting. The piece is very stylich and funcationable but if you have cash to burn then you might wanna pay Blitz for the same thing.
ive had the blitz before and the difference is that the Blitz just has a Normal, Eco and SP3 mode. It doesnt have like Eco1,Eco2,Sp1,Sp2 etc. The other thing is that the Blitz doesnt connect to the OBD port at all from what i remember. Both act the same way but i was just wondering because of the OBD port part.
Just installed An ECT from Panson Pan 3 weeks ago and Love It! Best 150 dollars you can spend on this type of controller.
It has:
eco 1-5
norm
sp 1-7
And my favorite is sp7!
50-80 mph soooo much faster
Note: 2008 Sport A/T

Can we get some pictures of this installed? I'm interested in purchasing one of these, but I'd like to see how it actually looks in-car.
Also, two questions:
If I do buy one, I'd like to mount it in the compartment under the center console to keep it concealed...is the wiring long enough to reach?
Does the unit turn off or reset to a certain default setting when the car is turned off?
1. There will be enough wiring to run to shifter area but I am not 100% sure anymore further.
2. The unit is getting constant power from the OBD Scan plug so it will not auto reset unless you pull it off.
Thanks
Ben

Sounds good. I meant the area under the climate controls, tucked back behind the cupholders, so the wiring should be plenty long. Thanks for the info.
I know the Blitz throttle controller allows you to open the throttle up to 100%, instead of the 80% limit on the drive-by-wire software. Does this unit work the same way?
Upon request, I have took detail pics for the installation. If you have any questions, let me know. I hope I have done a good job
**Here's pic of the pedal**
**That's the factory harness plug which plugged in to the pedal module**
After everything is plugged in securely, you will need to hide all the wiring and place the control/display unit to where ever you want.
Perform the calibration on the throttle controller with the supplied manual which takes about 20 seconds.
Then you are done !!!!!

I am not sure where you get this info from. Stock ECU allow the throttle body to open up 100% already.... Anyways, the D1 Spec don't have this function.

It's something I read in a thread about the Blitz controller. After doing some more research of my own, I think the 80% limiter idea was just regarding the fact that the stock DBW limits the throttle position according to RPM, so you can't go WOT right off the line. Not sure, but I trust your first-hand experience over some forumspeak.
