JDM Headlights & Spoon Air Cleaner

Ben,

Have you tried the spoon air cleaner/filter yet? Also I know JDM HID headlights will not fit our us-spec Fits, but will non-HID headlights fit our us-specs? And is there any difference between the JDM & USDM headlight units? Thanks.

PS. The JDM Hazard Switch, where does this go? in place of the oem us spec? differences? Thanks again.

-Brian

Brian,

Spoon filter will fit and I have been selling them for awhile. If you need, they are in stock. The JDM headlights will not fit unless you change the fender, bumper hood and radiator support.

The JDM hazard replaces the one on the center air vents.

Thanks
Ben

I'm interested in the spoon air cleaner but will it really make a difference in air flow? Is it re-usable like the K&N ones? Just curious not too nowledgable on that piece.

Curious about hp gain with the spoon or k&n (drop in style) air filter, is it comparable to the cai intakes or short rams? I would prefer to keep the stock box to keep the intake noise down but with 4 people in the car its a real dog and I am looking for a little extra performance.

logistixz,

there are afaik 3 types of air filters for the JDM jazz and it all depends on the year it was built.

As far as I know, there are:

the long rectagular shaped one
the rectangular shaped one with a corner cut off
the new facelift version which is the square one (which if I recall correctly, the USDM Jazz has this one)

How do you install the JDM hazard switch? Does it just pull off or is there more to it?

You can do it one of two ways.

Either remove the stereo and go from below and push the switch out from behind or remove the guages and go from the side and push the switch out from behind.

when you say "go from the side" you mean from the vent or from the instructment cluster side?
