Here is a picture of the supercharger unit that was installed the the JR Fit. Btw, I was kidding about getting free superchargers . Thanks for holding the unit up Eric.
that is why i said was it supercharger or turbo LoL i was confused
All the pieces have been made and fitted. Now we are waiting to hit the dyno and get it tuned
Well then...anyone want a T1R B-Max Carbon Intake? LOL! This turbo looks SICK! I can't wait to see it finished Ben! You gotta stop doing this. I spend money on your guys' stuff, then you come out and butt rape me again with more cool stuff that I wanna buy so bad and will probably be conned into hahahahahah!
The above pic IS NOT a supercharger - that is a turbo
W3rd that is NOt a supercharger, that is definitely a turbo snail.
This IS a supercharger:
Notice the difference between the two and how they are driven from the motors. Same principle, but both go a different direction as to using the engines existing mechanical outputs to drive the compressor.

you know there are two types of superchargers dont you?? the one you posted is a roots type supercharger and the one posted above is a turbine type.
Now let's just see what the price is like for this, and for the supercharger. I plan to monitor progress intently....and perhaps may set aside a portion of my x-mas money if the value is right.

Not exactly.
Centrifugal superchargers may look like a turbo, but they are belt driven.

It is a s/c...a centrifugal, and is belt driven...which is a suprise considering JR usuallyl has used screw s/cs (eatons). If that is really the charger jackson plans to use, it will be even more interesting to compare between the s/c and turbo kits.
is this going to be for auto AND manual or will it matter? didnt know if there would be some issue that keeps it from working on an auto model.(ecu differences or whatnot)
OMFG!!! I wonder if this'll make more power then the Jackson Racing supercharger... I read from one of JDMChris' posts that it dyno 160hp at the wheels and 130-140 lb/ft.....amazing....

You both are very right. The way you know that the pic in the first post is a TURBO because it has a wastegate actuator connected to it.
SC's use a pulley to create low/high boost. Turbos use a wastegate, whether its external (mounted on the manifold) or internal (mounted on/to the turbo as in the first pic)
Centrifugal SC's ARE belt driven but the actual unit that makes the boost does look like a turbo. I believe the whole reason of centrifugal SC's are to run intercoolers and BOV's. Im sure theyre more efficient also.
Will the components of this turbo kit be purchased seperately?
I don't know yet but it maybe possible.
We will be making a low boost kit and we will be hitting the dyno after the Super Street Time Attack on Nov 8th. We are expecting to see some serious reliable hp gains.
We are getting some 440cc and high pressure fuel pump + some tuning so a HIGH BOOST kit will be available in the future
Thanks
Ben

hey man there will be cat unless you remeove yours, the piping you see in the photo is downpipe which runs from the turbo to the cat, so unless you remove your cat there will be no cat loss. It isnt a b pipe its down pipe.

Low Boost Kit? High Boost Kit?
Educate me please - Whats the difference? Or better question, which one do I need?
