There and back again: an unexpected journey

Hey AZ FitFreaks,

Just thought I'd share my story. Back in 2008, I'd bought a 2008 Honda Fit Sport 5MT and had it for a few years. Unfortunately in January 2011, a college student pulled out right in front of me, making a left turn, and pretty much took out the front right of my car.

Luckily, no one was hurt, but the car ended up being totaled. Not being able to find any used Fits on the market to replace her, I ended up with a 2002 Honda Civic EX Sedan. And I thought that would be the end of my journey with the Honda Fit.

Fast forward a few years, and I get married to a lovely girl who moves here from Australia, and we start looking for a second car since we both have busy schedules. Lo and behold, she ends up liking the Honda Fit, and we start looking for one. With the gas prices going back up, these have been hard to find! I had a chance to test drive a few 2008s and also a 2012, and I must say I prefer the way the GD3 handles so much better!

After a few weeks of looking around at various options, even taking a bus out to SoCal to try and buy a 2008 MR Fit Sport AT, we ended up finding one out in Lake Havasu City: a 2007 TW Fit Sport 5MT with only 43k miles on it. It's in great shape and the previous owner had even put on a clearbra and upgraded the headlights to HIDs! Anyhow, that's the story of my journey

So, the only thing I ever did with my first Fit was to put on Konig Featherweights. In fact, I still have the stock wheels from that car in my storage closet, which only have 80 miles on them! I'm thinking of getting the JDM center console - anyone in the Phoenix area have it on theirs? Would definitely love to see it in person before I decide.
