Arm Rest Console is sold to Bay Area fitfreak Kodo. Thanks- shipping Monday UPS.
If you still have the Throttle Controller by 2-3 weeks, consider it sold . Of course local pickup.
Jimmy-
I have several people interested. If yoo want it and have room in your VISA or M/C balance, let me know. I would rather that you buy it than anyone else. Blitz does not have one that works on the '09's. If I buy a used GD3, I will buy another controller from Blitz. If I buy a GE8, I will wait, impatiently, for Blitz to come up with another design that works for it. This is the best "bang for the buck" that you can get for the GD3's. Let me know if you can swing this buy, quickly. Otherwise, it will go to someone else. You need this on your car. Ask macbuddy.
dude that really sucks that ur fit is totalled. What happened if u dont mind me asking.
At 6:00 a.m. (dark) Sat. morning, I was headed out to Stockton for a Fit meet, BBQ, and Auto X racing at the county fair grounds. My road (Bear Creek Road) is dangerous as it is anyway, but it had just been repaved. The center and side lines had not bee repainted, and the reflectors were gone. No big deal.
The vehicle that we Fit owners all hate, a lifted SUV or pick up, climbed right on my tail with HID brights on, and then turned on a rack of bumper mounted, illegally bright off-road driving lights. There is no place to pull over at the wreck site, so I slowed down and waved the asshole on to pass. Just a wave, no finger. He stayed right there, revving his engine. So I took off again, doing 45 in a 40 mph residential area. Then even more off-road lights came on and the road disappeared in total glare.
Remember, there are no lines and no reflectors on the road, and the inside of my glass was a wall of blinding light. The asshole behind me was deliberately trying to provoke a major problem, and I really wanted to get out from in front of him. In the glare, I saw tire tracks ahead curving to the left, and I knew that a left curve was coming anyway (been driving this road for 26 years). So I followed the tire tracks. Wrong move. The tracks curved too sharply for me to follow at that speed (into a driveway). I overshot the tracks and went right off the road into a gully.
My Fit dove through a small grove of trees and buried its nose in the opposite side of the gully. I was braced against the steering wheel for the impact, and absorbed a 45mph hit with the muscles of my chest, shoulders, and arms. Oh, and the air bag hit me right in the breast bone (not the face as a lot of people try to tell you). The doors wouldn't open because of the trees jamming them, so I called 911 on my cell phone. They showed up in about 20 minutes, chain sawed the trees so that I could get out, the paramedics tried to get me to go to the hospital which I refused, and I spent the next half hour filling out the accident report with the CHP officer.
For any of you who have a front end crash that opens the air bag, expect rib damage.
Unfortunately, there is no hospital treatment for broken, cracked, or bruised ribs. I am living on Vicodin, and so will you, until the damage heals and the pain goes away.
P.s. The truck that caused this did not stop, and did not even call to report the "accident". The CHP officer said that his office had received 4 other reports about a lifted truck trying to run people off Bear Creek Road and Hwy. 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains, by blinding other drivers with illegally bright bumper and roof-mounted off-road lights.
Oh crap, I hoped it was reparable. I am so sorry. Anything I can do? (keep an eye out for an '09 or a good condition 07 or 08, or anything else?)
I kinda want the throttle controller, but I just got approval on a house. (gotta be good, gotta be good)

SlimJim already committed to the controller, Jeff. He'll either pick it up early next week or I will ship it to him. The factory back-order has gone away for Blitz, so you will be able to pick one up whenever you are ready- just at a slightly higher price.
If you see any used Fit in really good shape and low mileage, I am interested. I just can't commit to a sale until my insurance company stops trying to cheat their way out of a fair settlement. It is their job to try to get me to accept as little as possible for a Fit that was in perfect condition, with less than 12K miles. It is my job to stop them from doing that. I'll win.
damnnn sorry about your loss.. i hope they find that guy and hang him by his balls... he probably lives locally since he's on ur road that early in the morning..
Just an FYI every Fit that has gone through a Honda auction has brought within $500 of original MSRP so don't take some crappy low ball from insurance. These things are rarer than hens teeth.
