I broke some guys neck today when I was driving home from work
Dang. I've been asking tire stores how much they charge for lowering/alignment. One guy said $289, another guy said $450. They acted like it was hard or something. One of the places also said "a fit? which car is that?"
Well, I bought a spring compressor for $14. I'm going to borrow a bolt gun. All I need is the hex/octagon wrenches. Then find somewhere cheaper for alignment. I'm probably going to take forever to do it because I gotta see when a friend of mine is available to help me. Well, wish me luck!
Try Island motorsports in buena park and ask for liza they charge me like 150 for droping my fit and installing the front and rear strut bar. here's the number# 714-522-7457..

Put the springs in yourself and get a lifetime alignment at Firestone for $169.
After 2 and a half alignments, you'll break even and anymore after that and you'll come up.
Since I put in my new susspension in I've gotten 4 alignments (all in one week) and since I got my car, I've had a total of 11 alignments with them. TOTALLY worth it IMHO.
