Paint peel still an issue?

Just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with the paint peel issue around where the bumpers meet the fenders. Did Honda do anything to resolve that issue? I have had no troubles (its been a month since I picked mine up). Has anyone put washers in those places? Im still not sure if I should put them in or not. Thanks.

That is odd hearing about a paint problem on a Prelude...I mean my '97 still looks good as day 1. Ill keep my eyes open for anything on the lude. Good to hear though that your SSM is still doing good!

i think your cars are just dirty...
after reading about this a while back i went out and checked and thought my paint was peeling too

but i put the corner of my shirt in it and it came off, it was just dirt crammed in the little crack..

hopefully some light in the tunnel for some...?

My Fit's fine, but I was talking about my old Prelude. The whole front started cracking one day and next thing I know,I have a huge paint chip missing from it.My 94 Integra I gave my old girlfriend(white)still look's brand new considering she doesn't wash it much.

hey preludeguy, my fit has that paint problem. and it's not just dirty lol. mine is an old fit from over a year ago, i never got the problem resolved but i didn't go to the dealer seeking a solution either. i didn't want to risk them messing stuff up if i let them take off my bumper to repaint. plus color matching and all that stuff, so i just kind of let it go.

at first i had wanted to get it fixed but then i had many priorities pertaining to school and such, so it eventually just slipped through the cracks so to speak. the peeling is still there but it hasn't progressed much from its initial stages, it's still just in that crack area. it looks the same as it did over a year ago. i stopped caring about it really haha. i hope yours doesn't have the same issue though!

I gotcha. If the paint peel is only in that groove...then that doesnt sound too bad. Ill just keep an eye on it. I probably wont bother with the spacer thing either. Thanks again fellas.
