Hey ccFit...I'm out in Kitchener area. Where do you get it done in Toronto? We're out to Toronto often so would be worth the drive if we don't have something similar out here.

Thanks!

the shop is in Scarborough area (Midland/Shep.), hes a friend of mine and he does this for himself after hours since he sleeps in the shop, he can do any cars for that price after 7:00pm, of course you will have to pay regular price if you go in during business hours sicne the boss will be there, let me know if you want to get it done so I can arrange a time for you.

its the same that you see at the dealership, the black stuff that will hardened after 2 hours, not the oily stuff that will drip everywhere, its the same package the dealer offers but 1/3 of the price, just go to Markham Honda dealer and look at the civic thats on its side which they used to show the undercoating.

one more thing, I asked him do I have to reapply the rust proof every year, he said no cause for this kind or rustproof you only apply every 12 years, if you use the oily kind then you need to respary every year, thats why they are called lifetime rustproof at the Honda dealership, and you think they will respray for you every year, hahahahaha good luck

Many places sell tarps to park the vehicle over while the excess oil drips. I simply park mine on the road, hahaha!

I got to Metropolitan each summer with each vehicle.

Is Ziebart as bad as some people claim? Is annual oil spraying better? Is it just as good to leave the car 'unprotected' and wash regularly? I'm totally confused on this subject. I plan to keep my Fit for a loooooong time and I want to do what's best now. I opted out of what the dealer was 'offering,' but wouldn't mind doing something aftermarket. It seems that there are a lot of conflicting reports on the matter.

Also, are there any annual paint protection services/products that would be recommended for UV/acid rain, etc.? Again, more confusion.

Thanks for any opinions!

if you are living in Toronto and you are planning to drive your Fit in the winter then you better get some protection, i mean even if you wash your car everyday in the winter (which you cant), there is nothing 100% but better offf to get either oil spray or something like the dealer offers, but why pay like $800-$900 at the dealer which you can pay $300 for the exact same thing, dealer just sent the car out to a local rust proof shop to get it done, if you ask me which is better oil spray or undercoating with rust proof, I don't really know but I just hate the oil spray cause of the drips and its a mess
