Gas prices

Hey, in the 'Peg today gas is at $1.10/Litre. All I hear on the news is how prices will be up this summer. Can't wait till the May long Weekend to see what the prices are. I betting $1.19 - $1.24.

GG, what are they in your city?

Yesterday the price for a barrel of oil hit a new landmark, the $70/barrel mark and come summer it will surely go up even more, it always does during the summer. The US nationwide average now for regular 87 unleaded is around $2.80, the highest its ever been.

I still see people hammering the throttle with jack rabbit starts and not anticipating lights. Still the majority of our driving habits can be corrected to squeeze out a little more mileage.

It sucks for all those mid to high-end nice cars that require Premium fuel.., so I take comfort in that. All BMW's, most Acura's, Mercedes, Audi's and the turbo people.

Were paying in US funds aprox $3.48/US gallon. So premo gas must be around $4US/gallon. damn, that's nuts. Now you see why Canadians on average drive way smaller cars vs. the USA.

Yes, I can confirm that. We need $2.50/Litre to slow those guys down.

Damn it, looks like the days of 1.00$ + gas is back for the summer. This is going to be brutal with my premium drinking Integra GS-R and my daily 115km commute. I might have to get my Fit sooner than later...

Gas just hit $1.20 a litre today. Makes me smile that all those minivan and SUV people will be going bankrupt filling up those vehicles.

Long term, I hear it's supposed to go DOWN as the refineries in the Gulf come back on line (still out of commission because of Katrina).

My RX-8 is 60L to fill with premium gas, and a tank lasts about 325 Km's. It wasn't bad back in the day of .70 cent gas, but now its a different story.

The Fit is going to be a welcome addition to the family.
