what do we need to bring to the meet? i call me, myself, and I
Not sure yet. We are now talking about BBQ or just dining before we head out to the mountains. I will let you know if everyone is chipping in for something. Still got a month and a half left.
Count me in. I will be in leg 1. Or maybe 2 but I live closer to 1 lol. I'm confused on the Leg 1 and 2 because Leg 2 is going north then Leg 3 is going back south. Lol I dunno!!!!
Well, after much debate and factoring in that some people won't want to pay $15 entrance fee to sit in 35 mph traffic and chipping in for a $200 PERMIT to hold 80+ cars,
We've decided to take a FREE way to Blueridge Parkway. We'll have clear roads on BRPKWY.
Here's a map of where we would pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway: Entrance to BRPKWY
Notice that Skyline Drive begins just North of Blue Ridge Parkway off I-64which is just west of Charlottesville, VA.

also...haha, Swannanoa is off coarse a bit. The golf coarse is right off Howardsville turnpike, thats a fun road to drive on and will lead you right to the parkway.
BUT to make things eaiser you could just stop at "the inn at afton" let everyone meet there, and get on the parkway there without having to ever get on Howardsville turnpike. The inn has a huge parking lot at the top.
