One if it were that case that it was on track, it would have been stated, like one or two posters have. 2nd if you are saying maybe they were on track.... if your taking pictures you are not on track as NO sanctioning body would allow this. Like the one person said about VIR, The fit does not have the power to go past 100mph really on any common racetrack in the US. I dont see anyone responding saying that "yea i was on such and such a track"

Sorry if i seem like im coming off as an a$$hole but i dont like for one that the fit community as a whole would do such stupid acts, but worse that the people who are responsible and pay the money to do it safe and legally are looking immature and stupid when in the legal forum were discussion speeds of 120mph + and getting tickets. Its people like this that ruin the overall honda reputation of immature ricers, and the reason they pull everyone of us over and assume the worst

Video and stopwatching witnesses: Top speed Honda Fit Sport Auto in 4th is 102 on long private straight stretch and 96 at both straignts at VIR. And Honda engineers I know are laughing at the reports of 120 mph on level ground. Manual or auto.

I only took my car past 100MPH once and i hit a road gator and smudged my lip all up. I was lucky i didnt crash. I havent done it since. I think i hit like 110 or so. Maybe a little bit lower. I was too busy watching the road. I have a highway next to my house that is 70MPH and it is straight for almost 8 miles. It is a good place to do it when there is no traffic but again like everyone else said. Keep that stuff for the track. It did feel planted and stable at that speed but then again im on skunk2 springs so im sure that helped a bit.

I'm from Germany and as you know we give a shit on top speed limits (on many autobahn sections). Now my problem is:
I bought a 1.5 JDM Fit with AT and speed limit and I want to swap this engine into my smaller 1.3 EU Fit with MT. Now I found out, that you have a speed limit, too. So I can't easily swap to an US ECU.

Is it possible to remove that speed limit or are there any Fits without that (f.e. by year of production)?

I know the Speed Limit Defencer of HKS, but this is very expensive:
HKS SLD Speed Limit Defencer Type I

P.S. the 1.3 Fit drives 118 mph / 190kmh, downhill 127 mph / 205kmh.

I don't have bought an ECU by now. First I wanted to know which one is without governor.

1.) All German Hondas don't have speed governors, but we have the L13A, only. So here is no L15A ECU available.

2.) All JDM Hondas including the Fit have speed governors.

3.) I swap to a JDM L15A engine and I need an ECU without governor.

So my question is: Is a L15A MT ECU available without? I found these MT ECU No. and I don't know whats the difference (maybe some of them are without governor):

I've got an 2007 Fit Sport AT...the GPS max speed was 120 when it cut out real hard...there is no gradual (soft) cut out in this ECU. Not pretty when it cuts out. I don't know if it's the fuel or the ignition, but it is all at once! I did not look at the speedometer, so I don't know what you think the speed is. This is a GPS read out.

Open highway: 155 km/h - almost 100 mph.
At Batangas Racing Circuit: 140 km/h before full braking for the Casino Filipino hairpin.

According to factory literature and Autocar UK's road test, the GD1's Vmax is 106 mph.

Top speed- limited by gearing is a true (GPS confirmed) 225kph or 140mph by a turbocharged Jazz.

I've done this in my relatively stock example. 125mph or 200kph, IMO 130mph is possible on a long enough stretch of road, but do you really wanna drive at that speed for a length of time?

Size: 37.7 KBPS if you get a down hill and slipstream an Accord you can hit 134mph, just saying...

So the 140mph Fit.. was it a GD3? Auto or 5 speed?

I see in your picture, the tach needle looks to be just north of 6k @ 200km/h or ~120mph, what trans do you have (and more importantly, how the hell did you manage to fit balls of that size in the car? )

The 140mph one was a GD3 manual, I've also got a GD3 manual (5spd) there's still about 500rpm or so before the limiter would kick in. The Jazz/Fit has a lot of space inside

Can you give me the VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or your ECU number? Is your Jazz build for south africa? Maybe I can order an ECU in your country

Someone gave me the info that in Thailand doesn't exist a speed limit as well.

a piggyback chip can remove any limiter in place, it may be cheaper if look at that before ordering an entire ECU. If you don't find a solution in that regard get back to me and we'll look into getting you an ECU

Piggyback? Where to buy?

I need in each case an ECU as I don't have a MT ECU by now. I bought a JDM GD3 with automatic transmission and I will swap it with my manual one. So please check if you're able to organize it.
