Not the new car, I haven't seen any pix of that yet. I am in the process of spacing the tires out on my Fit and noticed you have done a nice job on your Fit. I'm using 25mm out back and 15mm on the front Ichiba VersionII.

YOu mean the new car of mine? The Smart? The front of teh smart is factory stock, but am planning to get wider tires. As for the back, I have put a 25mm H&R Spacer.

The smart is a pure fun car to drive and mod - lots of parts to buy (equally, if not more expensive).

I'll be doing mostly cosmetic works on the car, and hopefully i can have the car setup within 3 weeks. As soon as Its all done, I will post photos on FF. I know its not related, but FF is so much more than a forum to me. Smart forum is DEAD.

haha, the leaf, like how it associate to trees, is a Eco cvar. in fact, its going to be a fully EV and not like te Prius (which is a hybrid).

I've decide to help out the environment a little cos I dun want my next gen have to suffer what we created today. On top of that, I am a techno guy and going fast is never really what i am after. The fit, was an exceptiom, i like the fit =)

Thanks for the constructive feedback. I think I would like to sell teh car, but definately not out of desperation. the car works the way it is, its just that sometimes it gets frustrating when small things go wrong. For exqample, my battery needs a charge once every two days because I have too much electronics on board. Nothing cannot be fix, I just need to find someone to re-run the cables and thats it.

Besides, I was looking at the market and there is really no car that gives me the WOW factor. Up to this point, I think My fit is the best, and theres nothing that I can find out that that matches up with it. The Trade in value of my car from dealerships are ever more depressing because its almost as if they dun apreciate my car. Mecedes want my car trade in to them as is for 8500 CAD, not even worth half a smart car~!

Anyway, Now that I told the world about parting out, i kinda wonder how do I back down... maybe I should part out some while keep the rest?

Ultimately, I will be selling / trading the car. I don;t know if you heard much about EVs but I am keeping an eye on the Nissan Leaf.

back ,( we had a fire alarm here we had to attend to)
okay but this is a very beautiful example (from your pix) and you sound like you would have filed all paper work for this time as this is Proof to the buyer of what he or she is buying.
Hold on to her and pay it off and sell on your terms do not take it apart unless your finnances are so that you have no choice. Hope this helps.

As much as all the interest in in the parts of my car. I just find out that I still have to pay off my car.. amd I still have 1 year to go. So basically, if I part out everything and then sell the car, I am only left with a handful of cash BUT without a CAR~!!

So here's my question... in your opinion, should i proceed with parting out and sell the car when people are still willing to pay for the parts? Or should i just keep it the way it is, finish the finance payment.. and just trade it in for whatever ridiculas trade in value down the road?

    Confused... Confused...

This is a part of your "car life" i find myself remembering cars that i have owned in my life. and equate the car to my age at the time. we do it with music and a really quick sence to bring back a memory is smell. You'll miss this ride in your future but change is good. That's one thing that is guarenteed in life and that my friend is "change". You do what ya gotta do and get on with it my brother. Take care of yourself and your family .........................C-ya!
many Blessings to you & yours'

18K? I mean 18k man that's a deal! I sold a 2002 Ford Lightning pick up truck for 19.75k, I sold it on Craig's List you will need to put it on different cities but I know you could sell this car for 18k. secret is different pix and multiple adds. See were the most fit are in can. and u.s. and put it on craig's at those cities.
the hard money to retrieve is the install time but the parts you will be able to.(did you do the work on the mods or a shop? this will make a difference if you have a paper trail) Paper work is a real plus because the person interested in this type of "opportunity" will probably want some braggen sheets! If it were me Guiness i'd get the car sold and then sell the orginal parts either as an opt. for the new owner or F.F., C.L., Ebay. but i knw it your deal this is just a car person's oppinion. And last but the most important is to have her as clean as Ever I mean toothbrush clean pull the tire and under side clean and take pix for the adds that will set the hook and when some one can't sleep because of the pix they have seen of your "baby" the rest will be easy as giving candy away at an elementry school.
You know how terriffic a deal this little rock-it is right? present it that way to the masses and let some one else care for her. remember this Fit is one of a kind and if anybody wants to ask this Forum about her they will be Blown Away everybody that has seen this car in the Forum has fall'n head over heals for it, just be a darn shame to gut her and sell her parts and then the "carkiss" to the highest bidder. ( deer season here )

Hahaha, yea \i may be doing a pjhotoshoot later this week and honestly, the car gave me a lot of good, if not crazy memories. I would love to sell the car as is for 18K, but i dun think anyone would offer me such a price. Its a really good deal really, considering teh fact that i have invested more than 23K in parts, installation, and maintenance.

Wonder whats the next 25 yrs gonna be like? LOL
