I just changed the oil and used 0w20........that shit is like water!
I pulled out the dipstick to check the oil and it just dripped off the dip stick like water, I had to do it twice to make sure I didn't imagine it. I guess I will see how long this stuff lasts. I will check it often since I am worried about it being so runny and thin.

So the car is still amazing me. My last tank I still drove my usual 10%highway/90%city and I still got an amazing 36.5mpg! The only think different I've done for the last two tanks is shift into 5th gear more often. The warmer weather may be a factor too, but either way I am not complaining.

now, if we fit a straight line to the mpg as a function of time and then extrapolate . . . The start of the chart is that start of the driving for the Fit. I bought it with about 20 miles on the odometer and have been the sole drive (well, except for my wife a few days).
From what I understand about how things work on that site, one extra 0.1 mpg and I'm an expert hypermiler! I can't wait!
That's six 40+ mpg tanks in a row now. As always, I filled up one click past the shut off. I did quite a bit of drafting, kept my speed under 65 mpg, but over 55 mpg, a lot of downhill in neutral gliding, some pulse and gliding and for the first time, I shut off the engine at long traffic lights. That's going to take a little getting used to doing.
Just adding up the total gallons and miles gives: 199.581 gallons over 7517.3 equals 37.66541 miles per gallon.
Finding the mean mpg of the fillups listed above gives 37.62503 mpg with an error on the mean of 0.6028064.
Either way it looks like the lifetime average for my Fit is 37.6+-0.6 mpg.

But it's getting hot here and using the A/C will be necessary. I avoided any A/C use on the above tank because the first half of the tank indicated I'd set a new record, so I managed to deal with the heat. But with triple digit temperatures coming up, I'll be turning on the A/C during the drive home.
Thought I was into a great run but must of pumped a little too much.
Made it 423 miles before the E light
Filled at 427 miles
9.645 gal
87 Octane Costco gas @ $3.80/ gal
44.23mpg
My commute now is on I-95 and no longer the Fla Turnpike Being on 4 lanes and not 2 has made it easier to go slower and lost of 18 wheelers or other large trucks to 1 sec draft.
Still toughing it out with no A/C
I have posted this many times but to new users me stuff includes
1 sec drafting always under 65 unless drafting a rig that will go as much as 70.
Lots of coasting in 5th and 4th and also neutral. Rarely use my Brakes
Med to easy start.
Car is 100% stock as far as Eco with tires at 45psi

I would have been cussing and kicking the gas pump.
I remember about two months a go I was waiting for the auto cut off and all I got was damn gas spewing out! I guess that is a chance you take with the cheap gas stations

Guess you have never used Costco gas. They maintain there pumps better than any station I have been to. They always have a man walking around making sure there are no issues and the gas works fine.
I sold my 1998 Suburban in Feb and it drank Costco 87 for 10 years and 258k miles. Never had any eng work and it ran as well when I sold it as when new.

We just got our first tank over 40 mpg after a fill this morning. Same gas station and exactly the same pump, filled to first cutoff. For 354 miles and 8.666 gallons (US) the calculation is 40.85 mpg, almost 41. We have less than 2000 miles on the Fit, so maybe it will increase a little more in the future. Maybe I can shoot for 45! This is a base Fit with manual transmission.
Okay - first real test of mileage since I picked up the car on May 6.
400km of driving (300 mile?), including a mix of stop n go in downtown toronto and some highway. Definitely not babying the car as I'm still having fun "breaking it in".
Only used 25 L of gas. I was quite shocked when the pump stopped so low as i'm used to filling up the truck I just got rid of - same amount of driving would have been about 60L!
So mileage was 6.25L/100Km, or 37.6 MPG for you US folks.
Damn, you guys are doing great! All these great #'s are killin' me, but I just don't drive enough to get the big mileage. Round trip is right at 10mi, either stop-n-go on the highway or stoplight-to-stoplight on the side streets. Half the trip is warming up, and half the time is sitting still. This will be my first full tank of forced auto stopping, about the only hypermile technique that MIGHT make a difference for me. At least I'm beating the EPA city estimate so far...

Hey, man, neutal coasting actually uses more gas than if you put it into gear and then coast, which uses virtually no gas.
Also, can you guys start posting the percentage of time spent on the highway vs. city? When I record my MPG on my spreadsheet, I always put highway/city percentage (roughly estimated, of course). Thanks.
Oh, those that are getting high 40's and 50's, that is INCREDIBLE! Even Honda stated 28/34 (of course YMMV, but I never thought be that much).
