Fit/Jazz Bluetooth Package - UK Experience

I am from Toronto Canada and will soon purchase a North American 2007 Fit Sport (see honda.ca). I recently saw from the Honda UK website a press release about a Bluetooth package for the Jazz and wanted to know if anyone has heard any feedback yet on this package.

It would be great to know if anyone believes this package would work on North American Fits as I suspect they might since our vehicles are being manufactured in Japan.

Cheers

I'd love to see a package like that in the USDM fits! I'm big on technology so that'd be great.
Upon first instinct, I'd say this package would mate up to our USDM Fits, but based on some previous incidents with fitment and crossing over parts between the European, Asian, and the Americas, part of me is hesitant. Weird things - The tail lamp bulbs for example, are different on US and European models. Our amber signal bulbs are in the outer position, and our reverse bulbs are innermost. That is the opposite overseas. I wanted the euro look, so I attempted to simply switch the plugs but they are completely different with unique plastic tabs that only fit in that one socket. So, in essence while European OEM and US OEM tail lamps look identical, they are in fact different. I'd be hesitant to try and obtain a Jazz or JDM spec bluetooth package and wait til it catches on in the US and we have a specific package available for us.
But, I could be wrong - just will have to wait and see for someone to try it out!

I wanted a Bluetooth adapter for my Jazz when I ordered it back in october 2006. But the local Honda dealer did not recomend using the OEM Bluetooth adapter from Honda. They said there was so much trouble with them that they did not recomend to install it in my car.

I'm not sure what the problem was, but they said about half of the unit they got was deffect or was going to stop working after just a few weeks. They had sent back a lot of units. Some of the units they got back worked fine, but not all of them...

I have now purchased a Pioneer AVIC-HD3BT (AVIC-Z2 in the US) with Bluetooth adapter. Have not installed it yet. I just got it a few days ago.

Thanks for sharing experiences. Anyone who got that OEM bluetooth system as well? My mom wants it for our Jazz but I'm not that thrilled about it.
