Export US Fit to Europe?

Anyone done it? I may have an expatriate opportunity in Switzerland and I'm debating whether or not to take my Fit.

My primary concern lies with getting the vehicle in-line with the local regulatory requirements (lighting, mainly).

Thanks!

On some German board someone imported an USDM Fit without changing the front/rear. I am not sure if it helps but I think it is possible without great modifications. The best thing would be to contact the authorities in Switzerland.

On my trips to Europe I look for Jazzes. The lights look the same. I even have European Osram bulbs in my Fit. Never been to Switzerland, but I think they drive on the right?, so your Fits lights should be acceptable. You would probably have to change them to "dip left" if you exported to the UK though.

Thanks. Anyone know if the Progress rear sway bar would pass a European safety inspection?

I wouldn't be too worried about all the rules and regulations I know for a fact that there would be enough people that would buy the car and take it off your hands should you want to sell it, if conforming to the local rules is too much hassle or money. Remember you have a 1.5 VTEC were as us mere europeans have a poxy 1339cc grrrrrrr........
