Factory Rear Spoiler on Base Model Fit?

has anyone installed a factory rear spoiler on a base model fit? The guys at College Hills Honda have a good price, but they said the rear hatch is different between a base and a sport so they cannot guarentee that it will fit. Any help would be appreciated.

I can’t guarantee the spoiler will fit on the base model. The tailgates of the two models are different so I can’t say one way or the other.

From my knowledge they should be the same, I would'nt see why they would be different.

Im rocking the jdm sport spoiler and its several inches father out and will not clear the antenna when the tailgate is up-must have shorty one.

It will fit, The hatch is the same, HOWEVER it will take some modifications to mount it as usually the bolt goes in from the top into a screw base which isnt there on the base.

If that is the case then I should be able to remove the inner plasitc above the rear window and put a large washer and nut on the botton of the stud. Sounds pretty simple.

Bringing back an old thread here...just wondering if you got this to work or not? If you did, what exactly needed to be done to make this work?

Thanks!
