OEM spoiler on base fit, anyone done this with 3M tape?

As the title states.

Can you mount the OEM fit spoiler with 3M tape?

One is for sale about 5 miles from me and it's the same color!

He is recommending drilling or 3M tape.

Thoughts?

I would do both.Like when you buy a good body kit, it come's pre-drilled for bolts/fastener's and also come's with 3m tape attached.I would not just use tape(if the weight of the wing could even be held up for long or at high speed's).It would suck to be driving down the road and seeing out the back window your spoiler tacking flight.

there are 5 bolts on a OEM spoiler. dremmel/cut off the middle 3, and only drill the two on the outside. then use 3m for the middle potion. i did it with mine and its been great ever since.

yeah. that's what i'd do. drill on the sides. i wouldn't necessarily trust JUST 3m tape.

I drilled through the lip and used 3m on the inside top edge and cut off the out side two mounts.

I was skeptical at first, as I didn't want to drill holes. What they did to my spoon copy spoiler was use 3M tape, then put silicone in the gaps between the spoiler and the rear door (black silicone, I have a nighthawk black so the silicone isn't noticeable). 8 months later, through various states of hot summer days and monsoon rains, its stayed in place. Warning, though, my top speed is only 170 KPH (roughly 105 MPH).

Don't know if that helps, but just thought I would share.

i would do it the other way around.

cut off the 2 side bolts. and just use the middle bolt. then 3m tape the rest.

i dont really like the look of the oem. you might as well get a fiber glass one for around the same price. i think the fit deserves a larger wing.

but since you like the oem. i would do it that way
