20% tint on my Fit

Had the Fit tinted on friday at Fresh Designs in College Park. Had the shop use 20% tint all the way around while its technically illegal, as 35% is the max in Md, unless I/wife drives like a fool the popo in the area dont hassle you...
If your in Md College Park I highly recommend Fresh Designs tint shop. They have tinted my last 4 cars including a 02 Subaru WRX,a 04 Jeep Liberty Renegade my current 05 Mazda3 HB and now the wifes 07 Honda Fit Sport. They do great work all done freehand and it comes with a lifetime guarantee... Heres a look at the Fit with 20% tint. Let me know what you think.....

Cool Tint

The tint shop I went to suggested 20% on the rear and 35% on the front doors, since California doesn't allow the frt doos to be tinted. Something abount the police wanting to be able to see what is going on inside the car as they walk up on a traffic stop. Sounds reasonable to me.

I had them use 3M FX HP grade film. It makes a huge difference in keeping the car cooler, in addition to being cool!

i have had 5% all around on a few different cars. if you have power windows you can roll your windows down at night and use your mirrors and its not so bad. if you have roll ups, and cant reach the other side... well, that sucks.

When I was a teenager messing around in the back seat, 5% was cool. Now 20% or 35% does the trick.

Question getting new silver Fit Sport

I'm interested in snazzy pinstriping-graphics - without being garish - for my new silver Fit Sport.
Any ideas of where to look, design ideas, etc?

average is about $250 in PA, I mean the car does have 9 windows and the four small ones aren't easy to get to...

I'd say its a good deal. Just make sure they are using a good quality tint. My guy here in PA actually guarantees his install and product for the life of the car!

I had 5% and it was hard to see at night through the rear view mirror. I like how it looks, but 92029 was right- you will get sweated by the city's finest for having it that dark. I am gonna go with 35% all the way around.

I'll get some pics up later, I got 20% all around, standard rate for the guy I went to for a 4/5 door car is $120. Watched him do the job, he said that the small windows in the front and the two in the back were easy, just looks hard. Didn't take him 10 min to do all 4 of those.
