removing bug splatter???

i drive about 25 miles to work and always get bugs on my front end during the warmer weather.and was wondering if there was a way to get the bug guts that i guess are baked into the clear out?i cleaned the bugs off but theres like a stain.didnt know if clay bar would remove it?or am i going to have to buff it out?any help would be appreciated.thanks.

First use wd40 or Stoner tarmatior or even just straight car soap soaked onto the spot. Also a clay bar would remove what left of the bugs gut after you take majority of the bug guts off. But remember, when you use a bug or tar remover. Your going to have to rewax that area.

bug guts is acidic so you need to remove it as soon as possible
if you want to maintain a nice fresh look.

i use Wizard's BugRelease during my wash to aid in
removing bug spatter. it works great. just spray after
you wet down your car. let is sit about 2min... i just
start applying soap from the back of the car so by the
time im ready to wash the front, the bugs are nice and
soft. no scrubbing needed.

also keep the front-end well waxed. i use Prima Hydro
or griot's SprayOn wax, but there's lots of spray type waxes that work well.

No-Drip Windex works well. Used to use it when I lived in Florida; there were seasons when the "Love Bugs" were just like a Biblical plague.

on glass, not on paint, right? you remove wax with windex and could potentially stain lighter colors while you use the product.

basically why i am against using dawn as pre-wash for wax. i experienced tar stains when i used dawn on my diamond pearl white car long time ago. never again.

Bug etching is very very bad, especially here in FL. If you leave them there for more than a couple days, your screwed. When washing your car make sure you get EVERY bug and guts off. Rubbing harder wont help but make it worse. A clay bar may remove some but if its etched into the clear coat it wont. Keep a good coat of wax on there and buy some quick detailer and microfiber towels and remove the bugs every other night or so.

If the bug guts are etched in im afraid even polishing (buffing) wont remove them. Youll need to get that area wetsanded and then compounded. Its quite a process and if you dont know what your doing you can make it worse.

I hate bug guts and bird shit. If it's etched in, it has to be colorsanded and polished out with a rotary machine. Mainly happens because bird shit and bug guts are acidic.
