Anyone recommend a good economical clay bar set?

Or is Mothers the one to get?

I don't really like the mothers one. Clay magic makes a good one. It comes in a blue and black box I think

I've heard that too....but on my last 3 cars i've waxed within the first week of ownership and there were never any ill effects.

By the time it reaches you, I don't think you have to worry about waiting for paint to cure. How many weeks do these sit on a boat, in a storage lot, on a transport carrier before they reach the dealership?

Wax on Daniel-san!

There's another thread on here of a guy comparing the long-term protection of NXT and somethign else. My personal opinion is that Zymol is decent, but not that great, and NXT seems about the same, but then again, im a detailer. The wax I use costs $30 a puck, but it protects great and it lasts a while. Its called P21S. S100 is also great, but i think you have to order them both online.

I use NXT and and its real easy to work with. The shine is great but not as great as Meguiars Gold Class. The Gold Class wasn't as easy to work with thou. I'm thinking of putting another coat of NXT just for shits and giggles tomorrow.

I use nxt when I am just looking to get the job done quick, with decent results and something that will last awhile. I usually put it on my girlfriends car every few months. It is one of the longer lasting OTS waxes I have found.

Just washed, clayed, and waxed my Fit.

Used Meguiars Mirror Glaze Cleaner Wax. Was pretty easy to work with. It was an old bottle I had leftover. When it's gone, I'll buy something else. Perhaps something that lasts longer.

I just wash and waxed with Turtle Wax Ice..

WAX WAX WAX!!! Unless you live in an area that doesn't get snow EVER! or much rain, then wax once or twice a year!

I'm in the NYC metro Area and thus I was all throughout the summer to protect against the ill weather of fall and winter!

No snow, still wax

We get brutal sun, heavy rain, high winds, debris and bugs, bugs, bugs year 'round. Car wax sales couldn't be better than they are in Florida. A drought just ended with a tropical storm and I was glad to see the water beading up on my Fit to show that my wax job was thorough.
