I've noticed that the rear bumper has a lot of static energy. Dust sticks to the thing like crazy. Also, the bumper is quite level, so any water tends to stand there and spot up, instead of drip away.

Do you also have a Sport? I've noticed the rear window tends to grit up a lot. The spoler may have something to do with this.

I live in the city and pick up a lot of dirt and such. I also drive a lot which contributes to it. I just ignore it, adds character. My BOM looks sweet, dirty or not.

It gives you an execuse to wash it too

the rear bumper is like a tiny bucket to collect dissolved dust during rain or wahtever. when the dust-rain solution evaporates, all u have is dried dust. its nasty to look at

I noticed the same thing. Costco or Sams Club has 25 microfiber towels for 11 bucks. I use it in combination with Maguire's Spray and Wipe Detailer. The oil allows you to wipe it clean without scratching the paint.

Be sure to wax underneath the bottomside of the spoiler as well, I found that it didn't have a smooth glide as the rest of the car..

Yeah, the towels works GREAT! Keep a few in the car and dust it everytime you get a chance. I have been using Meguire's new NXT AMP wax, and it works very good. I recommend waxing everytime you wash the car. Thats what I do with mine.
