Oh god, my Fit was so dirty when I bought it CPO. I refused to let them wash it and the salesman was totally tripping lol

Unfortunately, he is telling the truth. Well, at least I've seen it at the Honda dealership where I used to work at. Not exactly like the one in the pics, but I've seen the detailers pressure wash the interior of used vehicles and either crank the heat up or leave the vehicle out in the sun to dry.

From experience, I owned a Jeep Cherokee that took on water and soaked the pad. It was still wet weeks later. I ended up ripping out all if the carpet, removing the padding, using truck bed liner in the cab, then reinstalling the carpet without the padding (so would readily dry if it got wet again).
Ironically, while I don't plan on fording with the Fit, the carpet would probably dry on it's own.
