underinflated tires

I just did a check on my Fit last night and found that the tire pressure was 22 psi for all 4 tires!! ....which is seriously underinflated.
This was my first time to check the pressure since I bought the car back in late July. I think maybe the factory just underinflated the tires because they're suppose to be at 32....not 22......

But anyways, my main concern is that I've already driven almost 6,500 miles on the tires..............I hope I dont have to get new tires soon...

What's the tread life for the stock tires?

EXWRX will become famous soon enough
The dealer likely did inflate your tires properly. Most tires will lose some small amounts of air over time, bumps, hard cornering, etc. . . Also, pressure decreases with temperature, so 32 psi at 75 degrees average would be significantly less at 40-50 degrees average.
It is a good idea to check your air pressure once a month at the very least.(once a week is better)

I bought my Fit in May and did not check the air until September. It was down to 28 so I adjusted to 32. Then it got cold and I checked them last weekend and they were down to 30. I just decided to check them once a month to be sure they are where they need to be.

You do need to check them more often than that, every couple fill ups, just keep a gauge handy.

Drop in pressure can come this time of year, with temp changes between summer and winter.

Treadlife for me was nearly 35K, but if it had been a wet summer, they would have gone well before that. I am more than glad the Dunlops are in tireheaven.....

i think you should be checking your tire pressures every month or so. depending on how much you drive of course. like if you're driving 3000 miles a week you should be checking tire pressures a lot more often.

you should be checking your tires every other week, especially when the
temps fluctuate. unless you got nitrogen in there every 10F change will
result in 1psi change. tires loose anywhere from 1-2psi just sitting
around even in the same temp every month.

i bought my Fit the other week; dealer set the pressure to wat appears
as 32psi, but they did it in their service bay (about 65F).

my car sat outside in 15F and as i thought, pressure went down 5psi
to 28psi. they were all underinflated by 4psi. i knew this was going
to happen so i pressured them up to 32 before taking the car out.

set your tires to 32 before you drive in the morning when you check.
remember wat the ambient temp was too so you know next time if the
temps go up or down you can reference about how many psi you would
be higher or lower from last time you checked. cars parked outdoors
will show higher pressure on the side of the car facing the sun.

i also checked the lug torque...sometimes new cars come with lugs
pretty loose. mine were fine at 90lbs/ft.

these are some minor check points i do after buying new cars.
