Skunk 2 Springs DIY gone wrong

So i just got a set of skunk 2 lowering springs for my 07 fit. The first problem was that the springs in the back were put in so that the skunk 2 logo was upside down. When i went to put the front ones on, the logo was the right way, so you could read it. Did put them on wrong? It was the only way they would fit. Here's the second problem, or the bigger one. I got the springs on, and found out that the strut is walking around, or not securely fit where the rubber fitting meets the body under the hood. So every time the wheel turns, the struts shift around, and a lot. Has this happened to anybody else, or again, did i do something wrong?

I have installed multiple suspension kits on fits and what you describe would be an error in installation.

Is there a buddy with some experience that could come over and help you?

no help really, the back springs i guess are in wrong because the logo is upside down, but they wouldnt go in any other way. im really worried about the front because the struts are walking all over the place. Im about to go back to stock, and wait to buy some tokico illuminas or full coils.

The rear sounds right iirc from other users' installs. The front is definitely wrong. Try tightening the top bolt more or check for any missing parts. The top is only suppose to rotate.

the top is only supposed to rotate?

today when i was working on it i had the hood open, every time i turned the wheel all the way from one side to another, the black caps that are visible from the engine bay would shift and move around.

That's the shock that goes up and down. The complete assembly does not move in the hole where the strut goes through.

To be more exact the rubber/metal pieces hold the strut in place so that the strut only rotates and up and down within the rubber/metal pieces.

The rubber/metal pieces on the top visible from the engine bay and the same piece within the fender well do not move.

ah, i just installed springs this past monday. you might want to take the time to calm down and just set aside time to take everything back off the car and reinstall it again making sure everything is where it is supposed to be and that everything is torqued correctly. i didn't screw around with this because you don't want to be worried about your suspension when you're doing 75 down the interstate. you can even get a torque wrench from sears for $25 0 to 75 ft/lbs. All of the springs should have the logo and numbers facing up.. as for the rear this should still apply unless the factory messed this up. you want the part of the spring with the coils closest together on the top (this is the progressive part of the spring) good luck!
