Q Horsepower full synthetic oil

Heads up - Wallmart has this oil for $18 for a 5 quart jug in my neck of the woods (SF Bay Area, CA). Quakerstate offers a $10 rebate on their website. That is a very good deal. This comes out to $1.60 a quart - Autozone wants $6.59/qt for the individual quarts. I don't know how good the oil is but some on Bob Is The Oil Guy forums like it.

Rumor has it that it is so cheap because Quakerstate has renamed the product. Reports are the new label is on the same product. I don't have facts to back it up, but it looks like a great way to try a full synthetic for cheap.

Anyone tried it? I bought some for my other vehicle. Didn't get it for the fit because I have a stash of other stuff at the moment.

(Please don't get into the "Quakerstate sludges" arguments... that was 30 or so years ago and it was Pennzoil (which bought Quakerstate).)

I've been using all the SOPUS Synthetic oils (Q-Horsepower, Q-Torquepower, Pennzoil Platinum), in both my Fit and CR-V for years, no problems. I got some startup clatter with Mobil 1.

I already purchased the Q-Horsepower and sent in my rebate!

Good to hear! I have yet to try the Q-Horsepower so I'm happy to hear your positive review. When I saw the deal at Wallmart I couldn't pass it up. I may have to buy more based on your response.
