is your ac on?

I am assuming you are automatic? it probably has something to do with the water pump and autos not being designed to be driven in neutral. That or you have a vacuum leak.

thaffejee is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi

I have noticd the same thing. I have a 09 Jazz ge8 manual (south africa). i have a very long, steep driveway. if put into neutral and rolling down the driveway, the rpm's go up a bit, and when the car stops at the bottom (still in neutral) the rpm's go back down. It has done this since day one.
