gerabox oil

helooo I am new to this but I hope someone can help.
My honda jazz gearbox oil needs replacing. Can I use another oil other than honda's own. As honda's is very exspencive. cheers

I've always used GM synchromesh oil.

Replacing your transmission early because you used bad transmission oil is even more expensive. Just buy the Honda spec oil, it should last you 15k to 30k miles anyways, depending on how you drive.

I've heard if you don't use Honda's fluid it will **** up your transmission. I've also heard there is one approved synthetic alternative, but I don't know what it is.
